The 7 distinct areas that constitute our Weeny Whiz environment include:
OUR ENVIRONMENT
PRACTICAL LIFE
In this section, the child finds materials and exercises of his everyday life from pouring water from a jug to a glass, or learning how to tie a shoelace. Practical life enhances the child to do his daily living activities in a purposeful way and gain independence and adapt to the society.
SENSORIAL AREA
Activities in this section allow the child to refine each of his senses. The child at Weeny Whiz is a ‘sensorial explorer’. The child is given the keys to classifying things around him, perceived by the senses such as size, shape, composition, texture, loudness or softness etc which offers the first steps in organizing his intelligence.
COMMUNICATION & LANGUAGE ARTS
Basic skills in writing and reading are developed through the use of Flash cards, Alphabet cut-outs, and various presentations allowing children to link sounds and letter symbols effortlessly and to express their thoughts through writing.
PROBLEM SOLVING, REASONING & NUMERACY
Little children are naturally attached to the science of number. Weeny Whiz offers the child a strong and solid foundation in the understanding of Mathematics, familiarizing the concepts of number, symbols, sequence, operations, and memorization of basic facts.
