Programmes for Different Age Groups, offered at Weeny Whiz Elementary School.

Children at this age learn essentially through Play. The Elementary School provides all that your child needs, in a safe, clean and healthy environment. Toddlers are just beginning to test their independence, influence and control. Our specially designed programme provide lots of guidance in all toddler activities ranging from live interaction to story time, rhyme time, naptime, singing and outdoor play. The child explores, engage and enjoy at their own pace and develop healthy habits of sharing, make friends, and involve in group activities. Here with us, new concepts are introduced only when the child is ready and not on a set timeline.

It’s the time when child truly start discovering the world. At this age the children are co-operative, happy and eager to learn and please. The preschool curriculum is designed to encourage exploration and embrace all the different ways that children excel. They acquaint themselves with materials with different grips, they identify a larger number of shapes and colors as well as letters and numbers, they learn about patterns and other creative designs, they are exposed to a higher level of creative movement and storytelling, and they enjoy a sense of independency through self-help tasks.

At this age, the children are energetic, imaginative and eager to put into practice all that they have assimilated in their previous year. Children expand their explorations from the school to the neighborhood and beyond. The Playschool curriculum builds on the child’s physical, social and emotional needs in preparation for the very real differences of a kindergarten classroom. Children are introduced to numeracy and literacy at this level. Writing, creating expression and elaboration now become the focus in Language and Children are introduced to our National Language.

Children are now aware of themselves and take great pride in their accomplishments. They have the urge to excel at what they do .Our curriculum keeps child constantly engaged in individual, collaborative, and group activities to meet all learning objectives required for this stage. Teachers give children a sense of control over the events of the day by planning a predictable yet flexible daily routine. The areas of learning are Maths and Number Literacy, Language for reading, Communicating and Expression, Science and Discovery in everyday life, Global Awareness – Social and Cultural, Creativity for enriching lives, and finally –Time Management, a skill that is much required for formal schooling.

Children from other regular schools are welcome to spend quality time with us. Learning activities and home work supervision under our teachers forms an integrated development session at Weeny Whiz.
